IG UKPAKA - Group Chief Executive Officer

IG Ukpaka – a seasoned banker with over 25 years’ combined experience in the oil industry and banking sector, is the Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Taurus Holdings Limited and provides strategic oversight on Taurus Oil & Gas, Taurus Capital & Advisory Services and Taurus Shelters Limited.

After a brief stint with Agip Energy in Milan, he started work with Nigerian Agip Oil Company in Lagos in December 1988. His career trajectory in the banking industry commenced with Allstates Trust Bank in 1990. He later joined Diamond Bank in 1992 where he rose to a manager level in 1995. IG joined Zenith Bank in 1996 and occupied various positions culminating in his elevation as General Manager (GM) in 2001. He was appointed Managing Executive Officer in Standard Trust Bank (now UBA) in 2004 to oversee the entire business of the Bank in the South. In 2005 he was appointed Executive Director in Bank PHB where he superintended various strategic business units in commercial, energy and corporate banking. Upon departure from Bank PHB in December 2009, IG Ukpaka, along with a team of professionals set up Taurus Oil & Gas AND Taurus Capital (Investment and Advisory Firm) where he occupies the role of Group Managing Director (GMD).

A first class graduate of Economics from the University of Lagos, IG Ukpaka’s enterprise has been complimented by exposure to quality executive education in INSEAD-Fontainebleau Paris, Harvard Business School, USA as well as Lagos Business School. He holds a postgraduate in Business Economics from Eni University-Scoula Mattei, Italy.

NOJEEM JIMOH- Group Executive Director

Nojeem Jimoh is Group Executive Director of Taurus Holdings Ltd and has responsibility for corporate services and asset management functions across the chain of Taurus’ businesses.

A UK-trained professional with expertise in policy & strategy, performance management, corporate development and public speaking, Nojeem has over 25 years’ post university experience in the housing & real estate, infrastructure and utilities sectors. In 2003, he was appointed strategic commissioner (housing) and Commissioning Board member at the City of London Corporation. In this role, Nojeem had overall responsibility for policy formulation, strategic lead and delivery of the City of London’s multi-million pound housing & support programme. He held this role for five years.

Nojeem took up appointment in Nigeria in 2008 as Executive Director at First World Communities (Real Estate) Group – an infrastructure and property development company based in Lekki Peninsula, Lagos. Here, he had overall responsibility for the company’s corporate services and asset management functions.

A First Class Honours graduate of the University of Lagos, Nojeem has won academic and professional accolades; including the City of London honorarium and cash award for 'consistent demonstration of imagination and innovation' and for becoming the first Nigerian to attain the fellowship of the UK Chartered Institute of Housing (FCIH). In 1986, he was awarded the University of Lagos 'University Scholar' status and granted scholarship for becoming the first student ever to graduate with First Class Honours in Political Science in the history of the University. He completed his master’s degree on scholarship at the same University in 1988, before proceeding to Middlesex University, UK where obtained a PGD in Housing Finance & Management. He also completed the Professional Qualification of the UK Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and became a Fellow of the Institute (FCIH) in 2005.

NNAEMEKA ONYEKA OBIARAERI- Managing Director

Nnaemeka Onyeka Obiaraeri is the Managing Director of Taurus Capital & Advisory Services Limited. He a Certified Financial Engineer/Investment Banking Executive with broad experience in all aspects of Equities & Debts Origination, Structuring, Execution, Syndication, Distribution and Re-distribution; Balance Sheet Structuring & Management; Project Finance; Financial Advisory; Portfolio Management; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Financing and Venture Capital Funds Management (Managed funds/portfolios in excess of USD65million).

Diverse and direct experience/involvement in Capital Raising exercises in excess of N500billion (US$3.3billion) for Corporate Organizations and Governments in the Nigerian Capital Market. Nnaemeka has special interests in early-stage startups (Greenfields) as well as companies "on the bubble."

He was instrumental to the setting up of Guardian Express Trusts Limited (Now a member of Spring Capital Markets Limited). He has at different times held high profile positions in some notable financial institutions in Nigeria as Head, Capital Markets & Research, Legacy Guardian Express Bank PLC (Now Spring Bank PLC); Head, Asset & Wealth Management Group, Future View Financial Services Limited; Head, Project Finance and Venture Capital Funds Management, Oceanic Bank International Plc.; Pioneer Head, Corporate Finance, Bank PHB Plc, Group Head, Capital Markets Division, Bank PHB Plc and Executive Director, Investment Banking & Subsidiary Businesses, Treasure Capital & Trusts Limited.

He is an alumnus of Abia State University, Nigeria, from where he graduated at the top of his Class and Faculty with a B. Sc in Banking & Finance. He holds an advance degree, M.Sc. Corporate Governance from Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. He is also an Alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Cambridge MA, USA.

Nnaemeka is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Business Administration at Leeds Metropolitan University; United Kingdom, with research interest on the study of the effectiveness of Micro finance as tool for sustainable poverty reduction in Nigeria. Nnaemeka has also participated in Key Financial Sector training of the Euro Money Training, UK and was a member of the four man Federal Government of Nigeria delegation to Brazil on a study tour of MSME Financing in South America in 2006. He is also the facilitator/founder of the International Institute of Micro-Finance & Small Businesses (Africa/Middle East).

He is a change agent passionately committed to innovations and enhancement of good corporate governance in the Nigeria Financial System. Always willing to learn and abhors the word "Impossible".

BENJAMIN NWOKOJI – Head, Corporate Finance & Advisory Services.

Mr. Nwokoji holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Calabar. He also has an HND from Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana, Afikpo Ebonyi State. He has varied experience spanning over 13 years in Investment Banking with strong bias for Corporate Finance and Financial Advisory Services. He started his Investment banking career with FBN Merchant Bankers (Now FBN Capital Ltd) in 1999 and left in June 2005 as Executive Assistant. He joined Oceanic Bank International PLC as an Officer in 2005 and left in 2007 as the Head of Capital Market Unit of the Bank. He joined Bank PHB (now Keystone Bank) in 2007 as an Assistant Manager. He was head hunted in 2010 to Treasure Capital & Trusts Limited as Manager and was instrumental in the securing of the operating License of Treasure Capital & Trusts Limited, as an Investment Banking firm and left to join Cowry Asset Management Ltd as Head of Corporate Finance in 2011. He has handled many offers in the Primary Capital markets for different corporate bodies and multinationals and participated in successfully raising long term funds in excess of N250 billion (USD1.56billion) in the Nigerian Capital Markets.

He has also been involved in Fund Administration activities as he played key roles in the setting up of Oceanic Vintage Fund. He has attended several courses/seminars on credit and investment banking. Mr. Nwokoji is married with children.

ENO IDEH- Head, Securities Trading

Enoh Ideh has over ten years experience in funds management with various reputable Investment Management Firms. She started up the fixed-income settlement unit in Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited (ZPC) and as one of the pioneer staff, set up the process flow for the unit. There she also trained several people on various financial instruments like bonds and treasury bills. She worked in UBA Asset Management Limited and developed processes for investment/trading of fixed-income financial instruments and managed several portfolios. She was also the Head of Financial Markets at Kedari Capital Ltd. She has attended a wide variety of courses on Asset/Fund Management, Bond Trading and Fixed Income Management both locally and abroad and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.
