Meet Our Managing Director

Africa (especially, West Africa) as a region has been identified as the next investment frontier because of the huge infrastructure deficits/gap and investment opportunities requiring urgent funding. My over a decade long experience working in the financial services sector in sub-Saharan Africa has given me deeper insight into the huge but untapped investment opportunities, with enormous potentials to accelerate economic growth and development of the continent if adequately funded. .

Nigeria remains the biggest economy in West Africa. Some of the bulge bracket Investment Banking firms around the globe (e.g. JP Morgan Chase & Goldman Sachs) have come up with several research reports which indicate that going by the current GDP growth rate of Nigeria and with the right economic policies and funding, that the Nigerian economy can grow to be amongst the top 20 economies of the world by 2025. Nigeria represents the hub of any investment foray into sub-Saharan Africa by any prospective investor desirous of tapping into the huge investment opportunities that abound in this region.

Having worked  as a Certified Financial Engineer/Investment Banking Executive with broad experience in all aspects of Equities & Debts Origination, Structuring, Execution, Syndication, Distribution and Re-distribution; Balance Sheet Structuring & Management; Project Finance; Financial Advisory; Treasury Management, Securities Trading, Portfolio Management; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Financing and Venture Capital Funds Management (Managed funds/portfolios in excess of USD65million), in several top notch financial institutions in Nigeria,  I truly understand the dynamics, currents and workings of the Nigerian/West African Financial Markets.

Our team of financial experts have over 80 years combined experiences in Strategic  Advisory Services; Business Development; Diverse and direct experience/involvement in Capital Raising exercises in excess of N750billion (US$5billion) for Corporate Organizations and Governments in the Nigerian Capital Market and currently involved in cross border infrastructure development projects in  other West African countries.

One of the major challenges that I have encountered in the course of my tour of duty as an Investment Banker in the West African Banking Industry is the issue of comparatively advantaged projects, industries, businesses etc. that have suffered premature death because of the absence of the right kind of funding mix that would have supported them to make the corner. The  limited capacity of the local financial institutions to underwrite huge ticket transactions, coupled with the subjective issues of nepotism in project identification, appraisal and funding by some of them have made it difficult for existing and budding projects/businesses with colossal economic/social bottom-lines potentials to remain in business or survive.

Currently, we have identified portfolio of projects/investments of over USD2billion with massive potentials and opportunities for investors seeking comparative high returns on investment/high level risk mitigation in emerging and frontier markets.

We have special interests in early-stage startups (Greenfields) as well as companies “on the bubble” and passionately committed to innovations and enhancement of good corporate governance in the Nigeria Financial System.
